SATS
Next week (13th – 16th May) is one of the most important weeks of the school year, for Year 6 children. They will be taking their first compulsory exams (SATs). It is essential that all Year 6 children are in school on Monday – Thursday for 8.00 am, breakfast will be provided. All children must come to the Year 5/6 door to be let in at this time.
The children have all worked so hard and we are very proud of their efforts so far this year. They will sit a Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar on Monday; Reading exam on Tuesday and Maths papers on Wednesday and Thursday. If you would like any information on the SATS, please come and see Mr Jackson.
If your child is not in by 8.30am each day, I will calling to find out where they are so it is very important that parents should let school know immediately if there is a problem, for example, your child is unwell or running late.
It is important the children get a good night’s sleep and breakfast. School will also provide a healthy eating snack for during the day.
