School Council
In September, two children from each year group will be part of Grangetown Primary School’s School Council. The school council will help with any decision making, ideas and pupils views to make our school an even better place for our children to continue to learn and thrive in all areas.
The members of the school council are on hand to help make decisions within school by representing pupil’s views. The school council is responsible for putting ideas and views into practise and show casing this to the rest of the school. If any child has an idea or a suggestion about how we can make school life or the school environment more beneficial for everyone, the please pass these on to a member of the school council.
We have weekly whole class school council meetings, taking place every Friday. Then the school council meet once a month. During these meetings, any views, ideas or issues are addressed and discussed and as a team a decision will be made.
Grangetown Junior Leadership Team (JLT)
Our Year 6 children play a really important part with communicating the views of the children in our school. On a monthly basis the Junior Leadership Team, made up of six Year 6 children, attend our Senior Leadership Team Meetings & express their views & help to shape decisions about our school. Their thoughts & views are priceless. They also love a cup of tea & a chocolate biscuit!
